PROJECT SUMMARY
Kyudon is a modern-chic Japanese restaurant located in Johor Bahru, Johor. Not only does Kyudon serve wonderful cuisine creations, but it is also pork and lard-free! After all, they are an eatery designed for inclusivity.
We met with the Merk Group, where they shared their strategy and objectives but required an appealing brand identity.

Visual Identity
KYUDON
In line with Kyudon’s concept, JP Mediaworks created a contemporary Japanese logo with visual elements of a fish to represent the Japanese eatery, a red dot similar to the one on the Japanese flag indicating the Sun, and the Japanese character for the number 9 to reflect the diner's multiple dishes.
Two lines are delicately designed into the name itself - one over the letter "U" that represents chopsticks over a ramen bowl and the other beneath the word "O" that represents a plate being served up to the patrons.
